What is the difference between temporary closure and vacation mode, and how do I apply this to my shop?

You close your shop temporarily if unexpected things occur and you cannot process your online orders. For example, due to a fire, electricity failure… You can temporarily close your store whenever you want, any time you want. People can not place an order when your shop is temporarily closed. Putting your shop in vacation mode is a planned action. You need to do this before you go on a holiday, and not on the first day of your holiday. People can still order for when you’re open again.

If you want to put your store in vacation mode, go in the dashboard to your profile > settings > openings hours. Here you can easily add the time period. After that just click on the + sign and hit save.

If you want to close your store temporarily, go in the dashboard to your profile > settings > company > temporary closure. You can also inform your customers on why and/or how long are you going to be closed by activating the checkbox and including a text under temporary closure.
